Something about it tied everything together with a cooler tone than the current 'pale celery' was doing. After scouting some ideas, I came across this palette of colors from The Creativity Exchange. Thinking of the direction I wanted to head with the redone furniture {that's right, Green Mossy and the Wingback Twins}, being able to have tones that easily transition from one room to the next were important!
Of course, my heart goes back to the neutrals and the limits a colored wall provides your space. As soon as you paint a color, you are committing to make that your design scheme choice for the next however many years it stays that way. With neutrals, you can add pops of color in accent pieces and easily change them out as you fancy. For me that is every season; Brett has to be sick of me rearranging the furniture every month to change up the space.
While I really love the neutral palette, as demonstrated below from Coco & Mingo below {check out their design blog here}, part of me worries for the lack of color that could be happening. Will it look to bright, or too much like the white hospital feel? Perhaps having the dark wood floors will offset the bright white?
What are your thoughts on the color scheme? Stay with the pale yellow/celery that is existing in both rooms, or go for the neutral palette? Either way, the space is changing.
